Charles A. Daniel, age 93, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2021. Charles was a member of Canton First United Methodist Church and the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the 6th Division for 2 years in the Korean Conflict following World War II. Following his discharge in 1948, Charles went to work for Southern Bell as a Lineman and travelled all over the Southeast installing lines. Following his marriage to the late Marion Bennett on July 3, 1953, they lived in Atlanta then moved to Mableton in 1954-55 finally settling in Dahlonega. Charles enjoyed coon hunting, bird hunting, gardening and tractors.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elaine Daniel of Waleska; grandchildren, Lois (Scott) Boggs and Laura Daniel; great grandchildren, Lilian and Oliver; brother, H.E. Daniel of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Canton First United Methodist Church. Interment will be Thursday, July 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church the hour prior to the service.
