Charles Alfred Pregler, 85, of Cumming, departed this earth on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Charles was born in Stamford, Connecticut to Anton and Edith Pregler on March 9, 1932. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in math. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, attached to the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army. On December 23, 1961 he married the love of his life, Mary Lynn Miller, after spying her across a room carrying a bowl of potato chips. He worked as a systems engineer for IBM for 28 years but today's touch screens totally befuddled him. Charles was preceded in death by both parents and brothers Robert and John. Charles is survived by his wife, Lynn, children: Kyle, Kristen Lewis (Jeff) and Jeannine Chewning (Hank), brother, William, and sisters, Doris Jonosky and Elizabeth Kent, and grandchildren Tyler and Jordan Lewis, Noah and Holden Pregler and Hayden Chewning. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 25 with visitation from 1-2 PM, followed by a 2 PM service at Ingram's Funeral Home in Cumming at 210 Ingram Avenue.
