Charles William Ammons

Charles William Ammons, 78, of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 9th, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Anna Joyner Ammons. Charles is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Bianchini Ammons, daughter Meghan (James) Hallewell, grandsons Duncan, Griffin, Braxton Hallewell and sister Jackie Brisco. He was loved by his extended Bianchini and Briscoe Families.

Charles grew up in Decatur, GA and graduated from Georgia Tech with a mechanical engineering degree. He was the founder and owner of Deckers Restaurant in Cumming, GA from 1988 to 2010. He was a member and a past president of the Rotary club of Forsyth County. Charles began his restaurant career with Waffle House and rose to the position of Senior Vice President. Charles was an avid bike rider along the streets of Forsyth County. He loved to off-road throughout the North Georgia mountains with his family and friends in his beloved jeep.

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 12pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Father Roy Lee officiating. The family will receive friends prior the service from 10am until 12pm. Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
