Charles Phillip Ganzer

Charles Phillip Ganzer, (Chuck) 69, a resident of Cumming, Georgia for the past 40 years, passed away on the evening of April 8th, 2025. Charles was born on October 25, 1955, to Charlene and David Ganzer. He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Charles was a dedicated member of Cumming First United Methodist Church. He is highly remembered as a Mechanical Engineer, who holds 38 patents from Nordson Corporation. Chuck’s hobbies included working with wood, building and fixing anything that was broke. He completed a full restoration of a 1954 Chris Craft he also built from scratch a two-slip boat dock on Lake Lanier and built his own boat lift for the Chris Craft.

Mr. Ganzer is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Penny Ganzer; children, Carl Sykes, Richard Sykes, and Robert (Tonya) Sykes; sisters, Marilyn Spielbush and Jane Barnett, husband Doug; along with his seven grandchildren, Cody Sykes and his fiancée Taylor, Brittany Sykes, Mallie Sykes, Ashley Sykes, Corey Sykes, Bonnie Tallant, and Caleb Tallant.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Ganzer will be held at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The Ganzer family will be accepting visitors on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
