Charles Joseph LeBlanc

Charles Joseph LeBlanc, age 93, passed away peacefully on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, 2025. He was born on February 12th, 1932 in Lafayette, Louisiana, to his parents Simeon and Nita LeBlanc. He is preceded in death by his beloved sweetheart and wife of 69 years, Barbara Bremer LeBlanc; two sons, Charles Benjamin LeBlanc and Mark Joseph LeBlanc, and his sister, Emma Sophie. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to so many. He had a deep love and support for his family and his church. Charles lived a long and full life and his spirit lives on in his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he adored. Charles was a study of his Acadian and Cajun heritage and he represented it well, sharing it with many wherever he traveled. He also spent countless hours enjoying the French language and the history of his ancestry. Charles was a devout member of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton, MS where he made so many friends. He served with honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Korean War. Additionally, Charles had a long, well respected and dedicated career with Western Electric (AT&T). Charles is survived by his sister, Betty Joyce Hall; sister-in-law, Bettye Bremer Day; daughters-in-law, Missy Driskell (Ken) and Elsa LeBlanc; grandsons, Kyle LeBlanc (Ashley) and Jacob LeBlanc (Taylor); great grandchildren, Paisley, Paxton, Mark and Joanna LeBlanc; and step granddaughter, Vanessa Inman; nephews, Greg and Jimmy Hall, Bryan and Scott Day; and so many friends who came to know him well. The family would like to express their thanks for the love and support given to Charles by his friends in Clinton, and a very special thanks to Missy and Ken Driskell for the care they provided to him. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton, MS on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 1:00 pm. (Rosary at 12:15)
