Charles L. Gravitt, age 83, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was a Korean War Veteran and enjoyed being with family, gardening and the outdoors. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Charlotte; sons, Tony (Dale) Gravitt, Avery (Kay) Gravitt and Rev. Dexter Gravitt; sisters, Montene Richards, Louise Castleberry, Jolene Walls and Shirley Holtzclaw; sisters and brother-in-law, Wilena Heard, Geraldine Standridge and Marcus Holtzclaw; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Coal Mountain Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. Reverends Dexter Gravitt, Jeff Gravitt, Danny Gravitt and Danny Bennett will be officiating. Interment at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
