Charles Richard Lanier

Ricky Lanier, age 77, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 16, surrounded by loved ones. A proud United States Navy veteran and dedicated fireman, Ricky lived a life of service, courage, and compassion. He loved his friends and family dearly.

Ricky was born to Robert and Mildred Lanier on August 1, 1947, in Roswell, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Lanier, who passed away in 2011; his son, Daniel Lanier; his mother, Mildred Lanier; his father, Robert Lanier; his sister, Sandy Wood; his brother, Jerry Lanier; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Benefield (Sandra).

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Monica (Travis) Day; his siblings, Billy (Kathy) Lanier, Patricia (Joe) Jenkins, and Kenny (Shelia) Lanier; grandchildren, Ethan Day and Morgan (Hunter) LeBaron; great granddaughter, Saylor LeBaron; and lifelong friends Lawrence Robbins and Shanna Rando. He will be missed dearly by all who love him.

The family of Ricky Lanier will be accepting visitors on Monday, April 21st, from 11:00 AM to 8 PM. On Tuesday April 22,2025 there will be a procession to Sawnee View leaving Ingram at 2:30 P.M. Anyone wishing to be a part of the procession needs to be at the funeral home and in line by 2:30 PM. Mr. Lanier will be laid to rest at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Georgia
