Charles Henry Pruitt age 77 of Cumming Georgia passed away Tuesday May 7, 2024 at home peacefully with his family by his side.
Charles is proceeded in death by his parents, Herschell and Bertha Pruitt, three brothers HC, Michael, Travis Pruitt and his sister, Elizabeth Tribble.
Charles is survived by his wife Ann of 55 years and his three daughters: Charlene (Calvin) Pruitt, Jennifer Rayner and Stephanie (Sam) Cambria. He had three grandsons Alex(Kirsten) Rayner, Aaron(Constance) Rayner and Brayden Naus, and his granddaughter, Cassie(Michael) Helms. And has two step grandchildren, Jenna(Cole) MacDonald and Nick Cambria, He had 9 Great Grands; Isaac, Layla, Adi, and Vivian Rayner, Caylee and Charli Helms. And 3 step(Bonus) grands Ava Castellanos, Briggs and Landry MacDonald.
What a remarkable person Charles was! It's clear that he was a kind and caring individual who touched the lives of many around him. His love for his family and his faith were evident, and he demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience in the face of adversity. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Fighting lymphoma for two long years is a testament to his determination and courage. Despite being very sick, he remained positive and optimistic, inspiring those around him with his good humor and sunny disposition. It's a wonder that he was able to maintain his spirits in the face of such a challenging battle.
It's clear that Charles was a man of strong faith, and his love for the Lord was evident in his words and actions. His upbringing in church likely played a significant role in shaping his values and outlook on life.
But what's truly remarkable about Charles is the way he approached his final journey. Rather than focusing on his illness and mortality, he seemed to view it as an opportunity to begin a new chapter in his life. He knew that his body was weak, but he was confident that his spirit was strong and ready to move on to a new and healthier body.
Charles's story is a powerful reminder of the importance of living life with purpose and joy, even in the face of adversity. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched, and his memory will be cherished by those who loved him.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2024 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Keown and Rev. Tim Collett officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
