Born December 20, 1937 in Auburn, CA. Attend Seattle University and ROTC Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cubin Missal Conflict. During 40+ years Chuck accomplished many things for the citizens and youth of Maple Valley. President of the MHOA. Troop Master of B.S.A. Troop 448. Chuck was one of the youngest to ever receive the "Golden Acorn Award" from the National Parent Teachers Association (PTA). Capt Jones volunteered over 30 + years to the Maple Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Being one of the first EMT''s in Maple Valley; he also was a Washington State Fire Instructor and Defensive Driving Instructor. Chuck was a Maple Valley Councilman and was proactive in getting parks and recreations for Maple Valley. Chuck founded the first co-ed BSA Explorer Post in Maple Valley and the State of Washington. He trained them in fire fighting, emergency medical and rescue which a lot of these explorers became fire fighters, medics and/ or went into the medical field. Chuck received "Citizen of Year" from Maple Valley for all of his hard work he donated to the area. After retiring as a field engineer of computers Chuck and his wife of 55 yrs moved to Nelson, GA. He volunteered at Good Samaritans Clinic, Piedmont Mt Side Hospital and the Pickens'' Thrift Store. Prior to Chuck going home to Jesus, September 1, 2013, he volunteered for the last time by being an organ donor. He is served by his wife, Phyllis; his 2 dogs Tasha and Prince; son, Charles and wife, Lynn; daughters, Tanya, and Tricia; and 4 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tate, GA Volunteer Fire Department First Aid Unit or sign up to become an organ donor.
