Charles Lamar Yarbrough

Charles Lamar Yarbrough, 79, of Cumming, GA passed away July 1, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Charles was born in Cumming, GA to the late C.W. and Lois Yarbrough. Mr. Yarbrough was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. Charles served in the U.S. Army National Guard and then made a career with Fulton County where he retired with 25 plus years of service and from Forsyth County with 12 years of service. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine McIntyre Yarbrough. Charles is survived by his daughters and son in-law, Vicki and Bruce Alsup, Angie Juliette; grandchildren, Kelsey Clack (Stephen Clack), Levi Alsup (Bailey Alsup), Kaylee Jennings, Devin Juliette (Samantha Davis), Tabor Buckles; great grandchildren, Kinzley, Aubrey, Hadlee, Paislee; sisters, Clara Sue Couch, Pam Shiry; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.  

The family of Mr. Yarbrough would like to share their appreciation with his special care givers, Lori Mullinax and Ashley Poss.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Cumming, GA with Mr. Terry Temples, Pastor Nathan Hester, Rev. Levi Alsup, and Rev. Bruce Alsup officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Veterans Alliance. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. Mr. Yarbrough will lie in state from 1:30 pm until service time Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
