After a long brave battle with cancer, Charlotte peacefully entered Heaven surrounded by her husband, family & friends.
A native of Birmingham, Charlotte resided in Cumming Georgia. She graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and The University of Alabama.
Charlotte was larger than life, never met a stranger, and was the light of every life she touched. She was affectionately known as Barbie because of her keen sense of style.
Charlotte enjoyed gardening, cooking, loved traveling with her husband David, and spending time with their dogs Alys and Ollie.
Charlotte was active in the Real Estate industry, and was also previously employed by Polo Golf and Country Club and White Columns Country Club in Atlanta.
Charlotte is survived by her husband David Simmons, stepson James Simmons, Mother Anne Raines, her sisters Carol Drummond, Mary Harper, Patti Graffeo (Nick), lifelong family friend Ellen Barry, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of close friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, St Judes Childrens Hospital, Boykin Spaniel Society, 2337 Broad St, Camden, SC 29020 or a charity of your choice.
