Christine Dunlap Veteto

Mrs. Christine Dunlap Veteto, age 83, passed away in Hartwell, Georgia on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 and is resting in peace with the Lord. Mrs. Chris as she was called, was a twenty year resident of Cumming, Georgia, and a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ. She was active in all aspects of the Church and was one of the founding members of the Mountain View Congregation. Chris was born in Knox County Tennessee and graduated from the Lawrence County High School in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. After High School in 1943, she married her High School Sweetheart, Rex Remington Veteto (deceased) and raised six sons - all living in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Mrs. Chris loved sewing, quilting and needle point as well as gardening and flowers and was one of the best cooks in any kitchen with her southern style dishes, casseroles and baked goods. She was a loving and doting grandmother and designated herself as Grammy to her grandchildren and Mr. Rex was Gramps. She and Gramps loved music and entertaining and were both very active in the community. Mrs. Chris is survived by her sons and their wives: Rick and wife, Nancy, Ron, Randall, Reggie and wife Wanda, Rhett and wife Cathy, and Roal and wife Leigh, as well as several nieces and nephews and eight grandchildren all of whom loved their grammy very much. Grammys grandchildren include Leigh, Ashley, Heather, Jay, Reagan, Remington, Clay and Arynn. A celebration of Mrs. Chris life will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Steve Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday April 30, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt.
