Rev. Clay Cowart, of Cumming, GA, age 91, passed away on December 1, 2012. Clay was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Kate Lawson Cowart; six brothers and one sister. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Harold Gravitt; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Doris Cowart; sister, Inez Howard; grandchildren, Michele Nix, Melanie Gravitt, Tammy Sheriff, Tyler Cowart; great grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, and Molly Nix, Blakeley and Madison Sheriff, Morgan Gravitt; great great grandchildren, Nathan and Weston Gaboury and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Dixon, Rev. Harold Bottoms, and Rev. Terry Cowart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Monday from noon until the time of service.
