Colonel Frederick Hamblin Russell

Colonel Frederick Hamblin Russell, USMC, Retired, age 87 of Cumming, GA, formerly of Pensacola, FL, passed away at The Mann House on Monday, July 23, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church. Fred was a former member of Perdido Bay United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL, where he was very active in several ministries and choir. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Russell.

Frederick is survived by his children, Jeff (Ruth) Russell of Athens, OH, Cindy (Jim) Wheeler of Cumming, GA, Cathy (Craig) McKee of Tampa, FL, Candace (Kip) Buss of Norcross, GA; grandchildren, Dina Russell, Caleb Russell, Maggie McKee, Lauren Buss, Andrew Buss; great grandson, Austin Russell; sister-in-law, Alice Russell of South Kingstown, RI; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Kathie Stasko officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Fort Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corps Association and Foundation, 715 Broadway Street, P.O. Box 1775, Quantico, VA 22134.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
