Craig (Zero) Richard Brandt Craig Richard Brandt, 64, of Cummings, GA passed away peacefully Monday December 1st, 2014, in his home. Craig was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 13th, 1950, to Ralph and Virginia (Boughton) Brandt. Craig attended WWTC in La Crosse, WI and obtained his engineering degree. While in school, he worked at the G. Heilman Brewery as a security guard. After receiving his degree, he worked at Rexnord in Milwaukee, WI, where he had the opportunity to travel the world. From that job, he transferred to Andritz in Cummings, GA, where he serviced seven to ten pulp plants as a Mechanical Engineer Project Manager. Craig is survived by his four siblings, Dale (Patty) Brandt of Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Kathy) Brandt of Osseo, WI, Marsha (Mark) Von Arx of Hokah, MN, Sharon (Lee) Mason of Glendale, AZ, many nieces and nephews, two great nephews and two great nieces, and his two special friends Sandra and Ken, who were like his second family and always by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Brandt, nephew, Sheldon Lee Mason, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Craig was a fun-loving, generous, and well-liked person with a very optimistic outlook on life. He had a heart of gold, and always had a positive attitude, which helped him win his recent battle against Salivary Gland Cancer. He enjoyed traveling, whether for work or with his family and friends, entertaining and cooking, shopping, watching sporting events, and the occasional 4 o'clock happy hour. His family will be having a memorial service in Cumming, GA, and a private burial ceremony in La Crescent, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a memorial to be donated to the American Cancer Society in Memory of Craig's victory in fighting against cancer.
