Dan Sigmund, age 56 went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 7, 2011 in Smithfield, Rhode Island while visiting his consecrated daughter at Master Ecclesiae College. He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida on July 1, 1955 to the late Otto V. and Ruth (Cason) Sigmund. He had resided in Cumming, Georgia for the past 14 years. He loved to fly and became a private pilot over twenty years ago. He was a member of AOPA and the River Bend Gun Club. He was a loving father and husband. He enjoyed bird hunting and was the best heating and air conditioning mechanic in all of Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra and his daughter, April of Cumming, GA.; brothers, Eugene Sigmund, Herbert Sigmund and Otto V. Sigmund Jr. and his late sister Shirley Elder all of Jacksonville, FL. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Holtzclaw Road in Cumming, GA. Visitation hours will be Friday, April 15, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue Cumming, GA. Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Jacksonville, FL. At 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, with Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be Monday, April 18 at Corey Kerling Funeral Home on Cesary Blvd. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family would like to thank everyone for their concern, prayers and intentions.
