Daniel Gene Barney, Jr.

Daniel Gene Barney, Jr., 58, of Cumming passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. Following graduation from Emory University, Mr. Barney became a long-time employee of the Coca Cola Company and later Foodbuy. He was a friend and mentor to many. Mr. Barney enjoyed spending time on the lake and snow skiing, but the best time spent was any time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Doris Barney, and a sister, Jeannine Rosenstock.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Greer Barney of Cumming; sons, Blaise and his wife, Carly Barney of Brookhaven, GA and Blair Barney of Atlanta.

Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
