Daniel Graydon Stephenson

Daniel Graydon Stephenson Jr., 89, of Lilburn, Georgia died peacefully on Wednesday, August 13.

There will be a memorial service 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Angier United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors at 11:00 am. A dinner reception will follow the service.

Daniel was raised in Angier, NC. He joined the US Navy prior to World War II, retiring after 21 years. He loved people, and was devoted to community service and his family. One of his favorite charities was the Red Cross, donating over 242 units of blood.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Irene Stephenson, daughter Annette Poole, father Daniel Graydon Stephenson Sr., mother Blanche Stephenson, brothers Neil Stephenson and David Booney'' Stephenson, and sister Flora Black.

He is survived by son Daniel Buddy'' Stephenson (Wanda), daughter Nancy Horn (James), son Graydon Stephenson (Laura), 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
