Daniel W. Norton Jr.

Daniel W Norton, Jr., age 77 of Cumming, GA. passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Danny was born on November 15, 1944 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Rev. Daniel Norton and Myrtle Snaire Norton and was preceded in death by his brother Rev. Curtis Norton Sr. He graduated from Crestview High School where he was a standout triple Letterman athlete in football, basketball and baseball. Following his graduation, he turned down a scholarship offer to play collegiate ball as he joined, served and was honorably discharged as a Sargent in The United States Marine Corps. Pursuant a 37 year tenure with Devoe/ICI/Gliden Paints and retired as a Running Indian Award recipient, representing the companies highest sales honors. Although many accomplishments in life Dan will be most remembered for his life’s work as a devoted, loving father and papa. 

Dan is survived by his Children: daughter, Danielle (Justin) LeJeune and son, Chris (Jesse) Norton, as well as their mother Kathy Norton. Grandchildren: Craig Zadorozny, Noah Norton, Zachary Cash, Brayden Wages, Jayden LeJeune, Frank LeJeune, Giovanni Stephens and Cameron Stephens. Sister in law,  Nancy Bushnell Norton along with nieces and nephews: Curtis Wayne Norton Jr, Catherine Norton Plunkett, Susan Norton and Tiffany Daniels, Terra Michelle and Steve Merrell, Troy and Kaitlin Townsend, and a host of cousins and many loving friends.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 13, at 12:00 P.M.
