Danny Lee Thomas, age 68, of Cumming was carried home by his lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Northside Forsyth Hospital. Danny was born in Ocilla, GA, in 1947 to the late Grady and Lizzie Mae Thomas. Mr. Thomas served his country as part of the Military Police in the United States Army. He was retiree of Gwinnett County Public Utilities, where he worked for many years to provide for his family that he loved so dearly. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Danny was a member of Walk of Faith Holiness Church in Dawsonville, GA. He was very well known for his songs that he wrote and would sing for his Lord and Savior. Danny will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Thomas. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Thomas of Cumming, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Dana and Paul Cox, and Ronda Thomas all of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Thomas and Daniel Cox both of Cumming, GA; loving dog, Jasper Thomas of Cumming, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Donnie Wade of Pendergrass, GA; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Linda Seabolt of Pendergrass, GA, Billy and Felicia Seabolt of Buford, GA, Jerry and Brenda Seabolt of Buford, GA, Franklin Seabolt of Jefferson, GA, Buddy Seabolt of Cumming, GA, and Johnny Seabolt of Buford, GA; along with many nieces and phews. Memorial Services for Mr. Thomas will be held Saturday at 2:00pm, August 6, 2016 at Walk of Faith Holiness Church in Dawsonville, GA, with Pastor Keith Blackwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations should be made in Danny's remembrance to Walk of Faith Holiness Church, located at Hwy 53 East # 100,Dawsonville, GA.
