Daren Edgar Shirley

Daren Edgar Shirley was born November 3, 1966. Daren grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia and graduated from Milton High School. Daren was a warrior fighting the horrendous disease known as ALS for 10 years. But that never took away from his million dollar smile as the nurses would say. He seemed to be a favorite of many because of that they would all come around to see his smile. He fought hard to stay with his family as long as he could.

Daren is survived by his wife Amy Shirley of thirty-two years. Son and daughter in law Austin and Elexus Shirley, son Creighton Shirley, daughter Ashton Shirley and partner Miranda Rivera,brother Ricky Shirley,and sister Becky Williams.He is survived by his five grandchildren Asher Shirley,Jayden and Aubrey Coffey,Oliver Rivera, Wyatt Baker. Daren also had several nieces and nephews.

Daren was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed watching “his Braves”. He also enjoyed coaching his sons, along with many other children in the community. Daren also loved watching NASCAR racing on Sundays. He also loved deer hunting and cooking. He loved his family very much.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Ray Gober officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. util 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
