David Lee Coe

David Lee Coe

David was born in Morgantown, West Virginia to Weyman and Mary Lou Coe. He graduated from Morgantown High School in 1966. He attended Fairmont State University where he earned his BA in business administration and played football. He is a member of the 1967 NAIA national championship team. David has been married to his high school sweetheart, Pamela, for over 55 years. They have resided together in Cumming, Ga for the past 20 years. David retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller for over 34 years. He loved to travel! He especially loved cruising and trips to the beach. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time celebrating all the milestones in their lives. His favorite scripture is Isaiah 40:31. “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint.” 

David was preceded in death by his father, Weyman Francis Coe Jr, his mother, Mary Lou Coe and his sister, Sandra (Coe) Cremering.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Bruner) Coe; his children, Kelly Webster (Anthony), Matthew Coe (Karie) and Aaron Coe (Brianna). He is also survived by his brothers Michael Coe (Evelyn) and Jeffery Coe (Patzi).  He is survived by 7 grandchildren: Anthony Webster (Whitney), Bryan Webster, Ariana Mrzena (Jay) and great grand child, Emersyn Mrzena, Joshua Coe, Corinne Whitney, Haley Coe and Brandon Coe. He has many other nieces and nephews and extended family, each holding a special place in his heart.

A Celebration of life service will be held on August 20, 2023 3:30 pm at Creekside Church in Cumming, Ga.
