David Gerard Bourneuf

David Bourneuf died peacefully at home on February 5, 2015 in Cumming, GA at the age of 53. David is survived by his devoted wife Elizabeth, his beautiful children Caroline and Luke, his loving parents David and Joan Bourneuf, siblings Anne Bourneuf, Ellen Bourneuf Hawbecker (William), Jennifer Bourneuf Carrera (Henry), in-laws Lowell and Joann Mohler, Craig Mohler (Julie), Chris Mohler (Rita), 15 nieces and nephews that lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Baldy Head", his dear aunts and uncles and many cherished cousins. He was preceded in death by his godparents Wallace Bourneuf and Loretta Hoernschemeyer. David was born January 5, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from St. Louis University High School in 1980 and the University of MO-Columbia in 1985 with a degree in English. He married Beth in 1994. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He enjoyed music, soccer, fencing, cooking (especially baking bread), reading, camping and fishing, running around the Mohler farm, technology, listening to podcasts and spending time with his kids. He was a loyal fan of the Mizzou Tigers, The St. Louis Blues and The St. Louis Cardinals. . He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the community of friends for their never ending love, help and support. Also, thank you to Longleaf Hospice especially Margaret, Colin and Talisa, The Georgia Cancer Specialists, Dr. Fernando and his nurses. Services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming, GA 30041. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service. All are welcome to join us at the hospitality center immediately following the mass.
