David Keith Ross

David Keith Ross, of Cumming, Georgia died Tuesday, December 27th, 2016. David was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia July 20, 1963. He grew up in Charleston SC, and Washington State. After finishing school in Washington he began a long career with ITT Grinnell/Tyco. He worked with ITT from 1982 to 2002. David was awarded the Presidents Cup for top producing sales in the country several years consecutively. He was beloved in his industry and was grateful for his relationships that followed him when he joined the family business & later Central Pipe and Supply. David started playing Golf in Seattle at the age of 12. He loved the sport and became an avid golfer, playing every Sunday with the same great group of friends. A self-taught musician at the age of 14 with a beautiful voice, David enjoyed many hours playing his favorite guitars. He shared this love of music with his mother and brothers, all talented & gifted musically. David passed down this gift to his nieces and nephews sharing in their burgeoning passion joyfully. He had recently introduced Elvis to his niece as an option for an upcoming Talent show, harmonizing with her as she practiced. David was also an avid fisherman, he purchased a boat and that was all it took to make him become the consummate fisherman. When he took on a new interest he became the expert by exploring every facet of the topic. David enjoyed deep-sea fishing, bone fishing as well as striper fishing with a great friend on lake Lanier. He shared this love with his nephew Ross going as far as buying him a small boat at the age of 10 with the "best motor". They spent many wonderful hours fishing together. His true love was his family. David's father became to be a regular guest in his home and they shared a special relationship later in life. He adored all of his nieces and nephews & relished in their accomplishments. He was always supportive and a call away when anyone needed him. His nephew said it best, Uncle David always made everything better. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother ,Lucy Ann Norvell, sister, Leisa Norvell Ross and brother, Hugh Dean Ross. He is survived by his father, Edwin Gayle Ross, brother, Edwin Gayle Ross Jr, wife Tina Ross. Sister, Lynne Ross Pounders, husband, Trey Pounders. The light & joys of his life, nieces Susan Dalhberg, Katherine Pounders, and Nora Gayle Ross. Nephews Bernard Dahlberg, Hugh Ross, and Ross Pounders A memorial service will be held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church Atlanta, Georgia, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 in the morning. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of David Ross to: The Georgia Transplant Foundation Academic Scholarships at 2201 Macy Drive, Roswell, GA, 30076 Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
