David Cordon Phillips passed away on February 10, 2025 after a long battle with multiple health issues. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he moved with his family to East Point, Georgia in 1969. He attended Briarwood High School where he met his future wife, Becky Guffin. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in accounting, married his high school sweetheart, and completed his Masters of Professional Accountancy degree from Georgia State University. He followed that by passing the CPA exam. David's professional career began with West Point Pepperell in West Point, Ga. and while there, welcomed their son, Matthew. David went on to work for Scientific Atlanta, Telecorp, and Syntellect. Upon retirement, he enjoyed his love for riding motorcycles on his Harley and his leather working hobby. His favorite hobby by far was attending the many baseball, softball, football, and basketball games of his beloved grandchildren, Camryn and Grant. He was their number one fan.
David is survived by his wife, Becky, son and daughter-in-law Matt and Meredith Phillips, grandchldren Camryn and Grant Phillips, and brothers Patrick Phillips and Chris Phillips. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity or cause of your choosing.
