David Richard Cooper

Mr. David Richard Cooper, age 85 of Dawsonville, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014. A native of Baxterville, MS, Mr. Cooper was retired after a 23 year career in the U.S. Army where he served two tours of duty in Korea and one in Vietnam. Following his retirement he settled in Slidell, LA where he became a business owner. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Renate Cooper; two daughters, Brenda Cooper and Lynda Cooper-Ilse; 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Nadia and his grand-dog, Coal. Inurnment services, with Military Honors, will be held Friday, September 12, at 2:30 P.M. (CDT) at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in Mr. Cooper's memory, to the Salvation Army or Special Olympics. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
