Davis Lee Muse

Davis Lee Muse, 74, of Cumming, GA passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Dave was born in Gadsden, AL to the late Daniel Davis and Mildred Muse. Mr. Muse was a star football player at Coosa High School where he met the love of his life Susan Willis Muse and graduated from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. Dave had an infectious personality and when he walked into the room you felt his genuine affection for those he knew and loved. Mr. Muse retired from Ryder Transportation with 30 plus years of dedicated service as Senior Manager of Tax Compliance. Dave’s favorite role was “Grandpa”, and  he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and cheer them on in all of their sports and activities. He was a big SEC football fan and an avid golfer.  You could find him on the course every week with his golf buddies. 

Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan Muse; son and daughter in-law, Derek and Maria Muse; daughter and son in-law, Kerri and Jared Levitt; and his beloved grandchildren:  Corey, Paige, Tyler, Matthew, and Ashlyn who were the light of his life, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Muse was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Brewer, and his twin brother, Daniel Muse.

The family will receive visitors at 1:00 on Saturday, September 17, 2022  followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 pm  in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. 770-887-2388.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor his life may make a donation in his memory to The Shepherd Center or The Ronald McDonald House.
