Deanna Jean Granito (affectionatelycalled DJ by family), 49, passed into peace on April 3, 2020. True to her character, she fought hard and did everything like she was supposed to, for the second time, against stage four breast cancer that had moved to her bones and liver. She was born in Travis Air Force Base, CA to Tay and Patricia Hampton on September 15, 1970. She married Philip John Granito on March 31, 1990.
DJ, brought love, acceptance, joy, and peace into every relationship she had. She was a loving, loyal wife for 30 years, an extraordinary mother toher daughters. She possesseda strong servants heart and always put others needsbeforeherown. Most recently, she enjoyed coaching The Reds, alongside her husband and two daughters for Miracle League. Over many years, she lead countless women and girls through Girl Scouts, bringing out their best with her gentle, regal demeanor. She volunteered on various projects with CASA and was always available wherever she could lend ahelping hand.
DJ is survivedby her Husband, Phil, her children, Madison andSavannah, her son in-law, Joshua, her brother, Kris Hampton, her sister in-law, Valerie, her Aunt Debbie Canole, and cousin, Katie.
A memorialwill be heldto honor and celebrate Deannas precious life at Ingrams Funeral Home when time and circumstancespermit in the near future.
