Dennis “Mac” Dean McKinny

Dennis “Mac” Dean McKinny, 88, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on February 23, 2024.

Dennis, known as Mac, was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 14, 1935. Dennis was adopted by Alfred and Harriett McKinny. Dennis grew up in La Crosse. He moved to Bloomington, MN to work at Braniff Airlines while waiting to be called up into the Cadets in the United States Air Force. He met Pauline Kerr while in Bloomington, and they were married in July of 1957 at Richfield Methodist Church in Minnesota. They moved to La Crosse Wisconsin after the wedding.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Pauline Kerr McKinny, Sally (Steve) Johnson, Susan(Mark) Short, Leah (Barry) Warden and Paul (Marlene) McKinny, Patrick McKinny, Jeane McKinny and Greg Larson, grandchildren, Andrew (Erica) McKinny, Kelly(Emmanuel) Johnson Engulu, Kimberly (Josh) Johnson Orrison, Ben McKinny, GriffithMcKinny, Isabel McKinny and Haley Warden. great grandchildren, Anna Maria, Ambrose, Micah, Freya, Maila, Jaisel and one more on the way.

After retiring, Dennis volunteered his time in the American Legion Post 307 of Cumming, GA and Post 127 of Sugar Hill, GA. Dennis also donated his time with the United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services are at the Cumming 1st United Methodist Church, Thursday, February 29, at 11:00 AM, 770 Canton Hwy; Cumming, GA 30040.
