Dina Sarandis

Dina Sarandis, age 90, of Cumming, GA, passed away on August 25, 2016. Dina was born in Springfield, MA, in 1925, to the late Nicholas and Athamandia Makrianis. While living in Cumming, GA, she became a member of St. Raphael Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church. She was very active in her church organizations here and in Augusta, GA, at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The last five years of her life, she resided at The Oaks at Post Road. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, George Sarandis. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sandi Sarandis of California; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and David Chapman of Cumming, GA, grandchildren, Catherine, Chris, Steven, and Christina; great grandchild, Nicole; great-great grandchild, Autumn; along with many other loving friends and relatives. Funeral Services for Ms. Sarandis will be held Monday, August 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church in Cumming, GA, with Fr. Barnabas Powell officiating. A Trisagion Service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Augusta, GA, with Fr. Barnabas and Fr. Vasile, officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Trisagion Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donation may be made to St. Raphael Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church, 3074 Bethelview Road, Cuming, GA, 30040.
