Dixie Lee Moore

Dixie Lee Moore, age 66, of Cumming, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013. She loved working with special needs children and serving others. Dixie was an avid marksman. She previously worked for American BOA and volunteered at the animal rescue in Ellijay. During Christmas time, she enjoyed playing Mrs. Clause along with her husband, Denny, as Santa Clause. Dixie is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Rigdon. Dixie is survived by her loving husband, Denny Moore; children, Lisa Johnson and John Moore, Jr.; grandson, Matthew Johnson; granddaughter, Layna Moore; brother, Dave (Rachel) Rigdon; and many other loving relatives and friends. A Private Memorial for family will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the visitation room of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bowling, Rev. T. J. Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
