Dollie Mae Young

Mrs. Dollie Mae (Bettis) Young, age 96, of Cumming, GA, passed away gracefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2018. A lifelong member of North Atlanta Baptist, she graduated from OKeefe Junior High School. Mrs. Young worked for the Atlanta Board of Education for 10 years and retired from Eastman Kodak after 13 years. Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Lawrence Young, Sr.; daughters, Priscilla Sue Young and Shirley Ann McKinney; grandchildren, Charles Lawrence Young, III, and Geri Caprice Young.

Mrs. Young is survived by her children, James Charles (Rebecca) Young, Catherine Rebecca (Jimmy) Sanders, and Charles Lawrence Young, Jr.; and sister, Elizabeth Attaway. Mrs. Young is both blessed and grateful to be survived by 66 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
