Dolores Hopson, 78, of Macon passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. She was born September 1, 1940 in McIntyre, GA to the late Ruth and Hugh Cobb. Dolores was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose smile was always the brightest when she was around her children and grandchildren. Her interests were flower gardening and floral arrangements, decorating her home, and cooking from scratch vegetables from the garden, as well as homemade biscuits and corn bread. She enjoyed collecting vintage glass from flea markets and antique shops. Dolores loved wearing beautiful clothing and jewelry. She worked for Industrial Welding for many years and retired from Dillards in 2005. Dolores was a faithful member of Highland Hills Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class since 1979. In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hopson.

Survivors include her children, Johnny Hopson, Jerry Hopson both of Macon, Cheryl Nobles of Alpharetta, April van der Noll of Ridgefield, CT; a sister, Arlene Moore of Reeseville, SC; and brothers, Larry Cobb of Jeffersonville, and Ashley Cobb of Macon; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, GA 31211, www.highlandhillsbaptist.org. The family will receive friends at the church the hour prior to the service.

Flowers can be received at Highland Hills Baptist Church on July 8th only, or you may wish to make contributions to Highland Hills Baptist Church.
