Don "Sammy" Croy, age 84 passed away peacefully June 17th, 2021 with his three daughters and wife of 61 years by his side, after a challenging season of Dementia.

Sammy is survived by his wife Levoyce, his 3 daughters: Teresa, Ann and Kathy, Son-in-laws: Hal Evans and Tim Neighbors, Grandchildren: Miranda, Daniel, Nick, Haley, Jessica, and Nate and one great grandson: Christopher.
Sammy was dependable, hard-working, kind and always had a smile to offer. Sammy and his wife opened and operated Croy's Grocery for 15 years on Heardsville Road. Sammy also drove a school bus for Forsyth County for more than 20 years, but most of all, he was a farmer through and through, raising chickens and cows most of his life.
Sammy loved his family and was a true man of character. He was a devoted husband, a caring father and a loving Papa. If you needed ANYthing, you could count on him to be there. He was an incredible example of love, perseverance, and strength and his legacy will live on for those he left behind. "Jesus loves me" and "Oh How I love Jesus" were his favorite songs as his health declined and we rejoice knowing he is now with Jesus!
