Donald Elzey

Donald Elzey, age 74, of Cumming, Ga., passed away at his home on Sunday, April 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Equilla Elzey; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Glenn Carden; brothers and sister- in-law, James Elzey, Dean Elzey, Cheri Elzey.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Donald retired from Sawnee EMC with over 40 years of service.

He loved his family and enjoyed raising chickens for Tyson’s.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sharon Elzey; his children, Jody (Beth) Elzey, Jeff (Melissa) Elzey; grandchildren, Cooper (Heather) Elzey, Emily Elzey, Jordyn Elzey (Ephraim); great grandchildren, Seth and Gracie Porter; brothers and sisters in law, Amos and Mae Elzey, Jerry and Nell Elzey, Bruce and Therese Elzey, Velma Elzey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Joyce Pinion; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024,at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Byrd and Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
