Donald Roveto

Donald "Pops" Roveto, 84, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held at 1pm Sunday, January 10 at Mt. Pisgah Church in Johns Creek. Funeral and burial at Green Lawn Cemetery to immediate follow.

Don was born in Danbury, Connecticut January 15, 1931. He graduated from Danbury High School and attended Chester State Teachers College. Don spent 4 years in the United States Army and went on to pursue a career in the tire business. In 1952 he married his sweetheart (Marilyn) Johanne Shaeffer, and they had 3 children. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and watching his grandchildren grow. Don was an avid sports fan, he also enjoyed watching the stock market and following politics.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Johanne. He is survived by his brother Charles, sons Donald Jr (Jennifer) and John (Kelli), daughter Janie (Guy), grandchildren Donald lll (Chiann), Robert (Suzanne), Michael (Lindsey), Anthony, John Jr, Heather, Jennifer, James Hudson, Jackson, Nicklas (Brittany) and 6 great grandchildren.
