Donna Martin Whitfield

Donna Martin Whitfield, age 47, of Cumming, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was a member of New Day Worship Center in Toccoa. Donna was employed by Forsyth County Board of Education as a mathematics teacher at Lambert High School. She also taught part time at the University of Phoenix, Atlanta, GA and Lanier Tech in Gainesville, GA. She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Wyatt Martin Sr. Survivors include her husband, Dalton Joseph Whitfield; mother, Barbara Keith Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Whitfield and Aaron Hoar; daughter, Sarah Ann Whitfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Wyatt and Laura Martin Jr., Tony Ray and Sabrina Martin; grandson, Benjamin Riley Hoar; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony D. Coley officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until hour of service at the funeral home. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
