Donna Rebecca Shaw, age 48, of Dawsonville, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Northside Hospital, Cumming, after a very difficult two and a half year battle with breast and bone cancer.
She was born on December 5, 1960 and was graduated from Lakeside High School in Atlanta in 1979. She played church softball and lettered in Basketball and Track and Field at Lakeside. She left behind Rudy, Riley and Jack and one cat called Token.
She is survived by the love of her life of 24 years, Steve Warren of Mableton; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Shaw of Rome; her parents, Charles T. and Eva L. (Sam) Shaw of Atlanta; her sister, Dena Shaw Fleming (Daryl Fleming) of Lilburn; a nephew, Quentin Charles Fleming of Lilburn; Kenneth and John Peterson, foster brothers from her childhood, of Columbus; her Aunt Joanne and Uncle Max Shaw of Rome; cousins Karen and Susan Shaw of Oregon; her Aunt T-Bug (Ramona) Helms; cousins Darlene, Greg, Tommy and Cathy, and their children, all of Rome; her Aunt Fran and Uncle Tommy Barber of Fayetteville; her cousins Susan Barber and family of Palmetto and Tom Barber and family of Fayetteville; and Uncle Bill Lee of Fairburn.
