Doris Lucille Higgins

Doris Lucille Higgins, 81, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Columbia, South Carolina.

She was the loving wife of William Thomas Higgins, Sr. She was a valued employee of Sears Roebuck and Company for 24 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and baking homemade sweets. She was known best for her homemade buttermilk biscuits. Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Diane Gentry. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, William Thomas Higgins, Sr.; her son, William Thomas Higgins, Jr. (Mary); her grandchildren, Tami Groover (Bo), Thomas Culberson, Heather Scott (Drew); TJ Higgins (Bethany), Bert Rosenberger (Shannon); great grandchildren, Kyle Groover (Maria), Kody Groover, Landon Culberson, Lathan Culberson, Sumter Scott, Weston Scott, Ellie Grace Higgins, Judah Higgins, Barrett Rosenberger, Brantley Rosenberger, and Zoe Rosenberger.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2nd, at Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, Georgia from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Celebration of Life service will follow at Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by William T. Higgins, III.

Interment will be in Sawnee View Gardens and Cemetery following the Celebration of Life.
