Madeline Schwartz passed away July 17, 2011 at the age of 98.
Madeline grew up, went to school, married and raised a family in Clay City, IL. She moved to OFallon, IL with her daughter and son-in-law (Sue and Joe Kralovec) in 1984 and then joined them when they moved to Alpharetta, GA in 1988. Madeline was active in the Alpharetta Senior Citizens especially the Friendship Club and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 52 years Neal Schwartz, four sisters, her son Lt. Col. (USAF) Richard N. Schwartz, her grandson Captain (USAF) Richard N. Schwartz, Jr, and her great-granddaughter Megan Elise Kralovec. She is survived by her daughter Sue (Joe) Kralovec of Alpharetta, GA, daughter-in-law Jean Schwartz of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Sue Ann (John) Hayward of Spring, TX, Jay A. (Joye) Kralovec of Viera, FL and Sara E. (Jason) Duke of Alpharetta, GA and great-grandchildren James (Gina) Hayward of New Braunfels, TX, Daniel (Lauren) Hayward of Corpus Christi, TX, Andrew Neal Kralovec of Viera, FL, Olivia Madeline Duke and Benjamin Duke of Alpharetta, GA. Madeline was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother the glue that held the family together.
She was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Services will be held at the Clay City United Methodist Church, Clay City, IL on July 21, 2011 at 11:00am. Burial will be at the Clay City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Megans Books for Babies, P.O. Box 56142, Rockledge, FL 32956.
