Dorothy Jeanette Pugh

Dorothy Jeanette Pugh, age 69, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013. After her husband, Harold, passed, Dorothy dedicated her life and love to her children and grandchildren. Fondly known and will always be remembered as Mama 'P'. She was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. Dorothy served as an administrator for the Forsyth County Fire Department. She served under three fire chiefs and during the conversion from a volunteer to a full time fire department. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Pugh. Dorothy is survived by her children, Laura (Jimmy) Martin, David (Krystle) Pugh, and Chris Pugh; grandchildren, Wyatt, Will and Walker Martin, Ethan Pugh; and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Mayfield Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Martin, Rev. Michael Millwood and Rev. Barry Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 noon to 9 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
