Dorothy Jean (Bradley)Taylor, 91, of Alpharetta passed away peacefully Friday, February 7, 2025. Dorothy (Dottie) was born April 17, 1933, in McCaysville, Georgia to the late Claude and Nellie Bradley. She was a graduate of McCaysville High School. Dottie was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, Nana, sister and cherished friend.
She lived a life, rooted in faith, finding joy in reading the Bible and serving as a dedicated member of Bridgeway Baptist Church. Her love for her community was evident in her role as a Sunday school teacher, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and softball coach. She also led with grace as the President of the Garden Club, sharing her passion for nature and beauty.
Beyond her many roles, Dottie was a talented Southern Bell Operator in the 50’s. As an employee of Stein Mart in the 90’s she enjoyed fashion and modeling. Above all, she was a devoted wife, sharing 63 wonderful years of marriage with Wilbur Taylor, and a loving mother and Nana whose kindness touched all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, love and service will be carried on by her family and the many lives she influenced. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur R. Taylor; brother, Bobby L. Bradley; brother, Claude F. Bradley Jr.; sister, Edna M. Harlow; sister, Kathryn L. Crawford. Survivors include her children: Anthony (Kelly) Taylor of Alpharetta, GA, Kimberly (Jeff) Stovall of Canton, GA. Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kaylin) Stovall III of Canton, Ashley (Paschal) Glavinos of Canton; Alexandra Taylor of Alpharetta, Michael Taylor of Alpharetta, Taylor Stovall of Canton, Amanda Stovall of Woodstock; 3 great grandchildren; Jeffrey (Jace)Allen Stovall IV ,Emma June Stovall, Lilly Jean Glavinos, brother, Charlie (Sheila) Bradley of Buford; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 16th, at 2:00 pm at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel 210 Ingram Ave. Cumming, Ga. with Ethan Corder officiating.
