Dorris L. Williams (Willie) of Cumming, Georgia entered into eternal life at his home on Friday, July 2, 2021. Dorris was born October 10, 1944 in Alpharetta, Georgia to Mildred and Nolan Williams. He was a resident of Forsyth County and for the last 30 + years of his life he lived in a loving community (the Hill), surrounded by neighbors he loved and considered family. He was a devoted member of Shiloh United Methodist Church until the doors closed. Dorris served as a member of the Administrative Board and Board of Trustees for Shiloh UMC and was a Board Member for Mars Hill-Shiloh UMC Cemetery Association Inc.

He graduated from Forsyth County High in 1963, then served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, then as a reservist until 1971. Dorris worked for Colonial Foods for many years, but most of his career as the Construction Superintendent for Mark VII Properties. But the position he loved the most in life was devoted and loving father, grandad, and friend to many. He loved the community he lived in and to show his affection he enjoyed cooking for his family, friends, and neighbors.

Dorris is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Nolan Williams, sister Laura Williams, brother Thomas Williams and twin brother Morris Williams.

His loving spirit is carried on by his son Brian (and wife Kelly) Williams, brother Billy (and wife Thyra) Williams, grand children Kayden and Nolan Williams, nieces Keisha Tate (and Avery) and Bridget Williams, nephews Andy Williams, Shane Williams, and Brett Williams and wife Gina). Bonus grand children Ashley McClellan (and husband William), Brandon Knock (and wife Kassey), Bonus great-grand children Ava and Haiden Knock and Brynlee McClellan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, July 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
