James Dorsey Streetman, age 83, a lifelong resident of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 following an extended illness. Mr. Streetman was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and of Lafayette Lodge. He was retired from Andean Motor Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inman H.and Ollie O. Dinsmore Streetman; sister, Willie Mae Birdsong; brother, Boss Streetman; wife, Betty Drummond Streetman; son, Rickey N. Streetman and daughter-in-law, Hilda Samples Streetman. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Pruitt Streetman; son, Aldon Streetman; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Donald Shaw; sister, Wynette Alvis Miller; grandchildren, Ali Streetman, Brittney and Chuck Shadburn, Laura Streetman; great grandchildren, Charlie and Molly Shadburn; step daughters, Dianne (John) Zouse, Patricia (Joe) Coleman; 6 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral home with Rev. Pete Martin and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5pm until 9pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until hour of service.
