Doug Carter

Mr. Doug Carter, age 61, of Cumming passed away Friday, December 19, 2008. Mr. Carter was a Disabled U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Forsyth County Handicap Coalition and Regency Church of God. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Mitzi and Jeremy Martin and Mitchell and Lynn Edmondson, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Ford Martin, Bailey and Brandy Edmondson; brothers and sisters-in law, Thomas and Lorene Carter and Paul and Jean Carter, all of North Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Paul Doss, Doris and Jay Patterson, all of North Carolina, Hilda Norris of Florida, Yvonne Meador, June and Tim Puckett, all of North Carolina, Kaye and Billy Lemons of South Carolina, Pat and Darrell Brady of North Carolina. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Reece and Rev. Jeff Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Doug Carter memorial fund, in care of Regency Church of God, P. O. Box 2168, Buford, GA 30518. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
