Dr. George William Wiese of Ellenwood, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 4th, 2010.

George served in the Army and is a Veteran of the Korean War. George Wiese received his doctorate of Law from Emory Law School and practiced for over 50 years throughout Henry County and the state of Georgia. George was involved in many organizations including being an Elder, Trustee and Sunday school teacher at Chapel Woods Presbyterian Church, Treasurer of Central DeKalb Kiwanis Club, Pres. of Stockbridge Athletic Association and Little League Coach, Pres. of Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, Chairman of the Board at Youth for Christ. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and served as Chairman of the Republican Party of Henry County.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judy Wiese of Ellenwood; sons and daughter in law, Chris and Tracy Wiese of Cumming, John and Caroline Wiese of Ellenwood; daughter and son in law, Virginia and Mark Watson of Cumming; sisters, Trudy Davis of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Betty Austin of Lake Elsignore, California. George has four grandchildren Victoria, Duke, Hanna and Barry Watson.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday July 9th at Parkway Presbyterian Church in Cumming, Georgia. The Interment will follow at the Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming.
