Dr. Joyce Pershing Nolan

Dr. Joyce Pershing Nolan, 78, of Cumming, GA, passed away April 6, 2018. She had a love of learning and had two Masters degrees and a Doctorate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Joyce and her beloved husband John fulfilled their dream of retiring to Lake Tahoe, NV, where they enjoyed hiking, beautiful views, frequent visits from family and friends, and traveling. Their travel destinations included Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland, and a tour of Europe. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, John David Nolan and brother, Merrill Pershing. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Terri, and grandsons, Tyler and Trevor as well as brothers Melvin and Jack. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to her favorite charity, St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
