Edith M. (Pais) DeSantis ,76. Edith passed away peacefully at Talladega Healthcare, Talladega, Alabama, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was proceeded in death by her beloved son Matthew Sabo and her parents George and Alice Pais. Edith is survived by, her companion Dominic Zappa, Sandusky, Ohio, sister Mary (Greg) Radovich, Elyria, Ohio, brother Paul (Jacqueline)Pais, Grafton, Ohio, brother George (Mary Beth) Pais, Auburn, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.
Edith graduated from Midview High School in 1966 and attended Kent State University. A very skilled and talented administrative specialist, she retired as the Executive secretary for the CEO of Scott-Fetzer Corporation, Westlake. Her passions included reading, music and being outdoors where she loved participating in skiing, boating, motorcycling with Dom, and traveling with family and friends.
Local arrangements were conducted by Radney Funeral Home, Alexander City, Alabama.
A memorial / celebration of life service will be held at the Laubenthal- Mercado Funeral Home, Elyria, Ohio on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM. The Reverend Chuck Behrens from Hospice of Western Reserve will officiate.
A private interment will be on Friday in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
If desired, contributions to the local APL, or Fido’s Companion, Avon would be Edith’s wish.
