Edna L. Ramsey, 96, wife of the late Charles Franklin Ramsey, passed away Friday, January 1st, 2021 surrounded by family in her home in Cumming, Georgia. Born January 7th, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Joe and Emma Long. Mrs. Ramsey graduated from the University of South Carolina and eventually settled down with her family in North Augusta, SC. She resided there for 50 years, a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, before relocating to Roswell, GA to be near family. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Roswell Presbyterian Church and very active in church activities. She was known by all as a generous, loving and caring friend and mother.
She is survived by daughter Anne and her husband Randy of Cumming, GA, son John and his wife Toni of Abu Dhabi; 7 grandchildren, Christy of Alpharetta, GA, Whitney of Atlanta, GA, Ramsey of Munich, Germany, Ryan of Seattle, WA, Winston of Lubbock, TX, and Heather and Charlie of Manchester, MA. Mrs. Ramsey also had 4 great grandchildren Payton, Aubrey, Cooper and Kennedy.
In addition to her husband, Frank, she was predeceased by her sister, Olive, brother John, and son, Charles.
A memorial service at Roswell Presbyterian Church and an internment service in North Augusta will be planned at a later date when it is safe to gather.
Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
