Edward Clinton Jones, Sr.

Edward Clinton Jones, Sr., age 96, of Cumming, GA passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was born in 1927, to the late Paul Allison and John Clinton Jones. Edward was a proud United States Navy veteran. After the Navy, Mr. Jones took college classes and graduated Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree. He worked at Southern Bell as a manager and later retired from AT&T. He enjoyed fishing and bird hunting with his brother. He loved his family and enjoyed every moment he had with them. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vernon Jones; and daughter, Laura Tavel.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Lynnette Jones; and grandchildren, Blake and Allison Jones; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held later at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church in Alpharetta, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Honor of Edward Jones.
